Meghan Markle delivers donations to teens affected by LA fires

Meghan Markle is supporting teenage girls struggling in the aftermath of the deadly LA fires.

On Monday, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, dropped off donations and volunteered at a relief center in Altadena, Calif., run by Altadena Girls, a grassroots organization founded by an 8th-grade girl whose school burned down in the Eaton Fire.

The young girl, Avery, has rallied locals to provide items such as clothes, hair and beauty products to her fellow teens who have lost everything in the blazes and are working to rebuild their self-confidence.

Meghan’s visit was discovered after eagle-eyed Sussex stans spotted her in a video Altadena Girls posted Wednesday on Instagram showing people giving and organizing donations.

In one portion of the montage, Meghan is seen arriving outside the center carrying large overflowing bags of donations and talking with someone who appears to be helping control the influx of items. The Duchess struck a low profile, wearing a black tee, a camel-colored sweater tied around her shoulders and a black “LA” baseball cap.

“And thank you to everyone who showed up on Monday, which was such a special day! We love you!” the group captioned the video.

Meghan’s fans effused in the comments.

“I can support my Princess being her kind self,” one person wrote.

“This is just amazing and seeing the community come together will only strengthen the city,” another said, while someone else replied, “LA filled with so much love.”

A source told The Post that Meghan’s donations were provided through her and Prince Harry’s charitable Archewell Foundation, named for their son Prince Archie, 5.

The LA native arrived with new clothing and beauty products, the insider shared, adding that she stuck around to volunteer her time and brought lunch for her fellow volunteers.

Meghan also helped teen fire victims as they looked through the donations, sharing conversations with the young girls and providing overall support.

Altadena Girls’ mission statement, as defined by its founder Avery, is simple: help young girls regain their sense of self and confidence.

“Although donations to our community have been amazing, they are mostly food, water, and household items – which are necessary, but not specific to my friends’ and schoolmates needs,” she wrote in an Instagram post launching the group.

“So, I’m focusing on items that will help my friends feel confident and like themselves again! Clothes, personal items, beauty and hair care – stuff WE need.”

“When disaster strikes, people only focus on basic survival needs. But for teenage girls who have lost everything, feeling like ourselves again is also really important for our #mentalhealth,” she wrote in a separate post. “Things like basic #hygiene products to the #makeup we wear every day help us feel normal in a time when everything else feels chaotic.

She continued, “I want to help other teen girls in my community rebuild their sense of identity and self-confidence during this difficult time.”

This is not the first time Meghan has made donations to the victims of the LA wildfires. A source previously revealed to The Post that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex donated goods such as clothing and children’s toys — including some of their own personal items — to support the disaster relief last week.

The couple has also made financial contributions through their Foundation to assist in recovery efforts.

On Friday, Meghan and Harry were seen in Pasadena, Calif., as they volunteered, toured some of the areas burned by the fires and met first responders along with state and local officials.

The pair — who live 90 miles north of Los Angeles in the posh Santa Barbara enclave of Montecito —have also opened their home to their LA friends fleeing the fires.

Given the tragedy that has thus far taken 24 lives, Meghan delayed the release of her new Netflix cooking show, “With Love, Meghan,” which was supposed to be released Wednesday.
