McCain added: “I am 40 and this was a scare for me. Get your mammograms!!! Doctors, nurses, pathologists, the mammogram coordinators, all of these people are nothing short of selfless angels who walk among us and I am forever grateful to every single health care professional.”

She concluded her post by wishing her Instagram followers “a happy, blessed, HEALTHY New Year! 🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️.”

Well-wishers flooded the comments on her health-related post.

“Super important message to get out there. I was not as lucky this year as you but so grateful my crap was found early. Thank you for pushing this on your platform,” one person wrote.

McCain has two daughters with her husband, Ben Domenech: Liberty Sage, 4, and Clover Jade, 1. She married Domenech, an editor and television commentator, in 2017 and announced the birth of their second child on Jan. 21, 2023.

“We are overjoyed to welcome our new daughter Clover Jade McCain Domenech on Thursday morning. Thank you all for the well wishes – we are all blissed out happy, healthy and exhausted!” she captioned the series of photos showcasing her newborn. “Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.”

It’s important to note that a new study shared by The Post revealed that the rise of late-stage breast cancer is even worse in women under 40.

According to the study, cases of metastatic breast cancer — in which the cancer cells spread from the local area of the breast to another part of the body — have increased by 3% from 2004 to 2021 among patients aged 20 to 39.

One in 8 women in the United States are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, reports the American Cancer Society, and mammograms are vital for early detection.
