Sandman is officially about to Enter.
On Thursday, Oct. 1, Metallica kick off their long-awaited, highly-anticipated Life Burns Faster residency at Las Vegas Sphere.
Over the next six months, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo will headline 12 “No Repeat Weekends” at the eye-popping, jaw-dropping Sin City venue.
And, if you’d like to be there — for one or two nights — tickets are available for all 24 upcoming Sphere shows.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one concert was $688 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Prices start at $963 including fees for the two-day No Repeat Weekend experience.
This is something else. This is another level,” Ulrich said in an interview with U2’s The Edge ahead of their first Sphere gig.
As for what the Rock Hall of Famers have planned for their “next level” production is currently under wraps but what we do know is what their set lists typically look like for Thursday and Saturday night shows.
Based on our findings at Set List FM, their “Night One” Thursday performances typically “Master of Puppets,” “Seek & Destroy,” “Sad But True,” “Nothing Else Matters” and “Creeping Death.”
Then, on Saturday, Hetfield and co. often bust out “Ride The Lightning,” “Whiplash,” “Blackened,” “One” and, of course, “Enter Sandman” among others, according to Set List FM.
“The night transformed from a rock concert…to an emotional journey,” Slateman wrote in a thoughtful review of a 2025 Maryland M72 Tour concert.
“I was brought back to the 80s as a teen. My mind strayed to the 90s when I was in my 20s. Throughout my marriage and parenting in my 30s and 40s. The song that changed my life was echoing throughout the stadium and the decades of my life. The band was enjoying themselves and sounded as good as ever. And tonight was one of the greatest shows of my life.”

When is Metallica at the Mohegan Sun Arena?
On top of the residency, Metallica is also helping Uncasville, CT’s 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena celebrate the venue’s 25th anniversary in November.
This will be the first time the Rock Hall of Famers have performed in the Constitution State since July 1998 when they headlined at Hartford’s Meadows Music Theater as part of their ‘Poor Re-Touring Me Tour.’

The thrumming, high-velocity record quickly sets the tone with the non-stop thrill ride title track and then refuses to let up throughout its healthy 77-minute runtime.
Indisputable highlights include the snaking “Sleepwalk My Life Away,” nakedly raw “You Must Burn!” and unrelenting “Lux Æterna.” Don’t expect a second to breathe; Metallica goes hard the entire time with nary a moment to rest. Just the way it should be.
