Michelle Trachtenberg was excluded from the Oscars 2025 In Memoriam segment.
The actress, who was found dead at her ritzy Manhattan apartment Wednesday morning at age 39, did not appear in the montage that honored the stars in film who died over the last year.
Trachtenberg appeared in numerous films including “Harriet the Spy,” “Ice Princess,” “17 Again,” “EuroTrip,” “Black Christmas” and “Against the Current.”
She was most famous for her roles in the shows “Gossip Girl” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
Viewers called out Trachtenberg’s absence from the segment on social media.
“michelle trachtenberg not being mentioned in the in memoriam section of the oscars is upsetting , you are and will remain so so loved and admired michelle,” one fan wrote on X.
Another viewer said, “It’s shameful that the #Oscars didn’t include Michelle Trachtenberg in their memorial montage of all the actors/actresses who have passed within the year!!!!”
“Not to mention Michelle Trachtenberg in #theoscars In Memoriam was a huge oversight,” read another tweet.
A fourth fan wrote, “the Oscars not honoring Michelle Trachtenberg in the memoriam is absolutely disgusting.”
“The In Memoriam not honoring Michelle Trachtenberg is awful and does not sit right with me,” said another viewer.
She was found by her mother around 8 a.m. Wednesday at One Columbus Place, a 51-story luxury apartment complex in Manhattan’s Central Park South neighborhood, the Post exclusively confirmed.
It’s believed that her body may have rejected a liver transplant, which she received within the last year.
Her death was ruled “undetermined” on Thursday after her family objected to an autopsy, according to a spokesperson for the city medical examiner’s office and sources.
Trachtenberg’s final film credit was the documentary documentary “Spyral” which was released last year following delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the doc, Trachtenberg reads excerpts from the diary of Randall White’s late wife Michelle Cody White, who suffered from undiagnosed bipolar depression prior to her death.
Before her death, Trachtenberg planned to attend South by Southwest Festival in Austin for a “Spyral” screening set for March 12.
“I am so saddened by the loss of Michelle,” Jennifer Hutchins, the film’s producer told People.
