Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White eyed for leads in ‘Social Network’ sequel

Newly minted Oscar winner Mikey Madison, and Emmy winner Jeremy Allen White are eyeing Aaron Sorkin’s upcoming “Social Network” sequel.

Both the 26-year-old “Anora” star and the “Bear” actor, 34, have met with Sorkin, who penned David Fincher’s original Academy Award-winning 2010 Facebook origin story, Variety reports.

It’s unclear which “lead roles” the actors are being considered for, though studio Sony has not yet offered them the parts, per Variety.

News broke late last month that the “West Wing” creator, 64, will not only write but direct “The Social Network Part II” at Sony.

Deadline at the time reported the film — based on Jeff Horowitz’s 2021 series of Wall Street Journal articles, “The Facebook Files,” tracing the site’s documented oft-unchecked “ill effects”  — is less a “straight sequel” than an exploration of “what would become the world’s biggest social media platform.”

Fincher’s film, which starred Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg, was based on Ben Mezrich’s “The Accidental Billionaires,” and netted Sorkin his first of four Oscar nominations and his only win thus far, for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Though all three of Sorkin’s directorial efforts — “Molly’s Game,” “The Trial of the Chicago 7” and “Being the Ricardos” — have earned Academy recognition, it’s his writing that looms large.

The Daily News has reached out to reps for Madison and White for comment.
