Missing Ohio teen found dead under ‘suspicious circumstances’

An Ohio teenager has been found dead under “suspicious circumstances” days after going missing, with police on Wednesday saying they were still searching for answers.

Trentin Isaac, 16, vanished on Nov. 12, the Mansfield Division of Police said. His body was found Tuesday in Harrison County and taken to the coroner’s office, they said in a statement, noting “there are more questions than answers at this point” about the teen’s death.

“The family and the community can be assured that the division will work diligently to not only answer these questions but also bring justice to the individuals who committed this act,” police said in their media release.

A GoFundMe set up to raise money for funeral costs mourned the “devastating loss” of the beloved boy nicknamed “Ray Ray.”

“He was cherished by so many, including his parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, and loved ones,” read the appeal organized by a family friend. “His warmth and presence touched everyone who knew him, and his passing has left an unimaginable void in all our lives.”

Authorities asked members of the public to submit any information that might help crack the case. Police said numerous “unverified tips and rumors” related to videos and social media posts had flowed in, but none of the material itself had been submitted for examination.

“The department urges anyone with information regarding potential videos, photographs or social media content related to Trentin or the circumstances of his disappearance to come forward immediately,” the statement said.

Mansfield is located about 65 miles south of Columbus.
