Motorcyclist dies after losing control in crash on Brooklyn-Queens Expressway

A 55-year-old motorcyclist died after crashing on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway early Thursday, police said.

The victim was zipping west on the expressway on a Kawasaki KLR650 when he lost control near Emerson Place in Clinton Hill just before 2 a.m., cops said.

He was thrown from his motorcycle when he slammed into a concrete center median just a short distance from the Brooklyn Navy Yard and landed on the roadway.

Medics rushed him to Brookdale University Hospital, where he died a short time later.  The victim’s name was not immediately released.

Cops shut down a section of the westbound BQE for a brief time Thursday morning as they investigated the crash.
