An MTA bus driver was arrested for punching a 16-year-old boy on a bicycle who interfered with his route, police said Tuesday.
Michael Brown, 42, was driving a B6 bus through Borough Park when he got into an argument with the teen, who was riding a bike, about 9:35 p.m. Monday, cops said.
According to a preliminary investigation, the teen was either blocking the bus, refusing to move, or holding onto the bus as he rode alongside it when the argument broke out, police sources said.
Cops were called to the dust-up on Bay Parkway near E. 2nd St. and were told Brown had punched the teen multiple times in the face, possibly breaking the adolescent’s nose.
Medics took the teen to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
Cops took Brown into custody without incident and later charged him with assault, endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.
Brown lives in Hollis, Queens, according to cops. His arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending.
An email to the MTA for comment was not immediately returned.
