Cops arrested multiple protesters who gathered for a demonstration against Immigration and Customs Enforcement at lower Manhattan’s Federal Plaza on Friday, police confirmed.
Several dozen protesters marched from City Hall Park to 26 Federal Plaza in Tribeca, where immigrant detainees are allegedly being held on the 10th floor in crowded and inhumane conditions.
When a handful of faith leaders with the group were denied access to the building, two rows of protesters sat down in the middle of the roadway on Broadway, blocking traffic.

About 30 police officers, along with numerous members of the media, surrounded the protesters, who held signs reading, “ICE is Trump’s Gestapo,” “Kidnapped by ICE” and “Release Them All.”

The NYPD could not immediately say how many people had been arrested, but confirmed that there were “multiple” arrests. Cops also could not immediately say what the charges against those arrested were, but in similar instances in the past, protesters have typically been charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and other misdemeanors.

A Daily News photographer documenting the scene estimated that about 15 people were arrested.

In video shared on social media, at least one protester can be seen standing calmly as a police officer zip-ties his arms behind his back.
