MyPillow founder Mike Lindell running for Minnesota governor

MyPillow founder Mike Lindell, a vocal supporter of President Trump, announced his campaign on Thursday for governor of Minnesota.

“After prayerful consideration and hearing from so many of you across our great state, I’ve made the decision to enter the 2026 gubernatorial race,” Lindell said in a post on social media. “I’m still standing and I’ll stand for you.”

The MyPillow CEO added: “Those who know me know I’m up to the task.”

Lindell joins an already crowded Republican field that includes Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives; Scott Jensen, a former state senator and the 2022 Republican nominee for governor; lawyer Chris Madel, and State Representative Kristin Robbins. Should Lindell eventually score the nomination, he will then have to face off against Democratic Gov. Tim Walz, who is seeking a third term.

According to his campaign website, Lindell’s political priorities include stopping fraud, fixing “failing school systems,” ending “exploding property taxes” and “send(ing) illegal immigrants back.”
