At least 11 kids were sent to the hospital with minor injuries Friday when their school bus was hit by an SUV on Staten Island, causing it to roll over.
The crash happened just before 8 a.m., when the driver of a white Lexus RX350 blew through a red light at the intersection of Laconia and Naughton Aves. in Midland Beach, police sources said.
Two adults were also injured in the crash. It was not immediately clear which vehicle they were in, nor their conditions. All involved were brought to Staten Island University North Hospital.
