A 27-year-old New Jersey man was sentenced to prison time for engaging in sex acts with dogs and possessing child pornography.
The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office announced Monday that Hunter Roy will serve six years behind bars after pleading guilty to cruelty to animals and endangering the welfare of a child.
An investigation that began in May revealed that Roy distributed more than 9,000 files depicting sex with a child. He was also “communicating in a sexual manner” with an underage boy to whom he allegedly sent child sexual abuse material (CSAM). An arrest was made a short time later.
That probe further found that Roy recorded himself engaging in sexual acts with two dogs including a Rottweiler, according to prosecutors. The Maple Shade man was also accused of trading that footage for recordings of other people engaging in beastality. NBC 10 in Philadelphia reported the second animal Roy abused was a small dog.
Information forwarded to prosecutors by the the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children initially drew attention to Roy’s online activity. Authorities seized multiple electronic devices from his residence. Roy pleaded guilty in September. Prosecutors said he was sentenced last week.
