A NJ Transit bus collided with a utility truck in Newark, leaving multiple people injured Tuesday morning.
The bus was carrying a dozen passengers when the crash occurred around 10:46 a.m. on the corner of 15th Ave. and Bedford St., according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda.
Those passengers and a bus driver were transferred to University Hospital, as was the driver of the utility vehicle. None on the injuries reported appeared to be life-threatening, according to authorities.
Video obtained by PIX11 shows the PSE&G truck flipped over with the NJ Transit bus smashed into its side. Emergency workers could be seen treating multiple people on a corner near where the crash occurred.
The cause of the accident wasn’t immediately clear on Tuesday afternoon. Newark police said the incident is under investigation
