Nikki Glaser roasts Ben Affleck’s orgasms, Selena Gomez at Golden Globes 2025

Yeah, she went there.

Nikki Glaser savagely roasted many celebrities as host of the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday night.

To kick things off, she went after Ben Affleck — who wasn’t even at the award ceremony or nominated.

“Tonight we celebrate the best of film,” the 40-year-old comedian said. “Wicked. Queer. Nightbitch. These are not just words Ben Affleck yells after he orgasms.”

Later in her monologue, Glaser made a joke about Harrison Ford that involved Ariana Grande and Zendaya.

“I was actually talking to Harrison backstage, and after he gave me his drink order, I asked him, I said would you rather work with Zendaya or Ariana, and he said Indica,” Glaser joked.

Glaser also poked fun at Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, saying, “She’s here tonight with her new fiancé Benny Blanco. And Benny Blanco is here because of the genie who granted him that wish. Lucky guy.”

The scathing monologue also included jokes about “Joker 2,” “Babygirl,” Keith Urban, Glen Powell, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Unsurprisingly, Glaser made fun of “Wicked,” as well.

“I did not know a lot about Wicked going into this bc I had friends in high school but I loved it,” she said. “I loved it so much. My boyfriend loved it, my boyfriends boyfriend really loved Wicked. It was so much fun. It’s so much fun seeing a musical in the theater. Some theaters had issues with the theaters. Wicked some people said it was ruined because people were singing.”

Glaser added, “Then ‘Joker 2,’ some people complained it was ruined by the images on the screen and the sounds that accompanied them. I’m sorry ‘Joker 2,’ where is their table? Oh, they’re not here. That’s right.”

Glaser is the first woman to solo host the Golden Globes.

She’s nominated for her HBO special “Someday You’ll Die” against Seth Meyers, Adam Sandler, Ali Wong, Jamie Foxx, and Ramy Youssef.

Glaser talked about prepping for the Golden Globes prior to the award ceremony. In an interview with CBS Morning in December, Glaser revealed that she sought advice from Ricky Gervais, who famously skewered celebs during his five stints as host.

“Be yourself,” Glaser said Gervais told her. “You’re not one of them. Don’t try to walk out there acting like you’re an A-lister. Just because you’re invited—you wouldn’t be if you weren’t the host.”

Glaser also said that past hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler told her that “the room is super noisy, they’re all talking, don’t try to quiet them down because the audience at home can’t hear them.”

“I thought that was very valuable,” she added.

The comic also noted that “for me, it will be a successful night if that monologue goes well. It’s everything. I’ll be phoning in the rest of the stuff. I can’t wait to walk off stage and celebrate with my team and then have a blast the rest of the show.”

Glaser made a name for herself last year during the Netflix roast of Tom Brady in May, where she made a number of brutal jokes about the former NFL star, 47.

“You have seven rings. Well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back,” Glaser jabbed at Brady, referencing his divorce from Gisele Bündchen.

Before the Golden Globes, Glaser revealed that she actually asked Netflix to participate in the roast.

“I was like, ‘Tell Tom Brady I’m the Tom Brady of roasting.’ It’s flattery, but it’s also true. I meant it. I really feel like Tom Brady is a guy that worked hard enough to become how great he is,” she told CBS.

The 2025 Golden Globes are airing on CBS.
