NJ man convicted of murder in triple shooting at home studio

A South Jersey man was convicted Monday of murdering another man in a triple shooting at a basement recording studio, authorities said.

Tyzir Hall, 25, was found guilty of killing Shaheed Little on Feb. 8, 2021, in a Bridgeton home, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office said in a press release.

Hall was also convicted of attempted murder for shooting and wounding a second man, John Beverly, according to authorities. He was cleared on a charge of attempted murder in the shooting of Shanetris Anderson, who was also wounded at the scene.

Little, 31 at the time of his death, picked up Hall from his home in Clementon and drove him to the Bridgeton residence to record music in the home’s basement, investigators said. Beverly and Anderson lived in the home.

But at the scene, Hall pulled a gun and fatally shot Little before wounding Beverly, police said. He then fled the scene in Little’s vehicle.

Hall evaded police for eight months, but was captured by a U.S. Marshals task force in October 2021 in Philadelphia, about 35 miles north of the crime scene.

At his sentencing hearing on July 18, Hall will face a maximum sentence of 30 years to life in prison for Little’s murder. He will also face 10-20 years behind bars for the shooting of Beverly.
