Barack and Michelle Obama vacationed with Steven Spielberg aboard the filmmaker’s $250 million “superyacht” over the weekend.
The 44th President and former first lady were photographed by TMZ spending time the “Jaws” director and his wife, actor Kate Capshaw, off the Italian coast.
Michelle Obama reportedly arrived Friday in Portofino. Spielberg greeted her with a hug. The trio had lunch Saturday while awaiting the former President’s arrival. He showed up later that day, according to TMZ.
The gossip site described a pleasant weekend of relaxation on Spielberg’s $250-million boat named Seven Seas. It stretches 358 feet and includes a helicopter landing pad, according to boaters’ site Superyacht Fan.
There had been gossip the Obamas’ marriage was on the rocks because the pair had seldom been photographed together in recent months.
Michelle Obama dismissed that chatter on a July 16 episode of her “IMO” podcast on which she was joined by her husband of nearly 33 years.
“There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I have thought about quitting on my man,” she said.
