A NYPD officer was arrested for making a chilling telephone death-threat to a Queens woman, cops said.
Octavio Green, 48, who was off-duty when he made the call, was charged with aggravated harassment for a 30-minute late-night tirade from a building on Beach 68th St. in Arvene that lasted until 12:15 a.m. Aug. 21.
“If you don’t take down the post I will kill you,” Green warned, referring to an unspecified online entry, court documents stated. “Come outside,” he demanded,
The victim had a previous relationship with Green, according to court documents. The rattled woman called 911, the documents stated.
At his arraignment Sunday in Queens Criminal Court, Green was released on his own recognizance.
Green joined the NYPD in 2008 and is assigned to the World Trade Center command, records show.
In 2024, he was arrested for drunk driving while off-duty. According to police, Green was driving near the corner of Merrick Blvd. and 125th Ave. in St. Albans when he sideswiped a car on March 18 around 6:35 a.m. He was charged with DWI, driving while ability-impaired and for refusing to take a breath test. No one was injured in the crash.
