An off-duty NYPD employee was arrested after he grabbed a civilian’s genitals without consent, officials said Saturday.
Luis Cardozo, 40, who works as an NYPD media service technician, was charged Thursday with forcible touching, harassment and sex abuse after he allegedly grabbed the male victim’s crotch on Oct. 24. around 8 a.m. inside an office building at Pearl and Madison Sts. in the Two Bridges neighborhood on the Lower East Side.
Cardozo was released without bail at his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court by Judge Jeffrey Gershuny on Thursday, though prosecutors argued to set bail for him at $1,000 cash and $3,000 in bond.
Cardozo’s next court date was set for March 10.
