Oscar-winning actress Diane Keaton, beloved for her roles in films like “Father of the Bride” and “First Wives Club,” has died. She was 79 years old.
Keaton died in California, People reported, citing a family spokesperson, who declined to provide further details on the matter. Her cause of death was not disclosed.
Keaton rose to fame in the 1970s thanks to her work in the “Godfather” and her collaborations with director Woody Allen, including 1977’s “Annie Hall.” Her portrayal of the title character earned her an Oscar in the Best Actress category, one of many accolades she was awarded throughout the course of her impressive and lengthy career.
