Pink denies separation from husband, calls out ‘trash media’

Rock & roll superstar Pink had no idea she and husband Carey Hart were on the skids until she read about in the “trash media,” the singer said Thursday in a video shared on social media.

“So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know,” the 46-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee told fans on Instagram. “Thank you, People magazine. Thank you, Us Weekly. Thank you for letting me know.”

Pink then sarcastically made sure the outlets were covering their bases.

“I was wondering, would you also like to tell our children?” she asked. “My 14-year-old and 9-year-old are also unaware.”

Pink’s comments came just hours after People cited a source claiming she and former motocross racer Carey Hart, 50, were splitting up after 20 years of marriage. Other outlets quickly picked up on the story, including the Daily News.

It was not unprecedented, as the couple had nearly separated once before, 18 years ago in 2008, but then reconciled and welcomed their kids. The two initially met in 2001, broke up two years later, got back together in 2004 and then got married in 2006.

Pink went on to list the many other topics media outlets could have been focusing on instead of the false news that she and Hart are headed to divorce court.

“Do you want to talk about some real news? Do you want to talk about the Epstein files? Do you want to talk about systemic racism, or misogyny in sports, or how classy the women’s hockey team is, or how eight of the 12 [gold] medals won in the Olympics this year for the U.S. were won by women?” Pink posited.

“Or, do you maybe want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock & Roll motherf—ing Hall of Fame?” she asked. “Do you want to talk about my accomplishments, or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?”

The Grammy winner ended by telling fans, “I love you all,” urging them to “go with God,” and admonishing purveyors of misinformation for clicks with, “Trash news, you can do better.”
