Pipe-wielding attacker bashes three women during Bronx rampage: NYPD

A pipe-wielding 23-year-old man has been arrested for attacking a 15-year-old girl and two women in the Bronx during a harrowing rampage, cops said Thursday.

Jeremiah White’s assault spree, spanning five hours, began around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of W. 176th St. and University Ave. in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx when he stormed up to a 46-year-old woman and punched her in the face, police said.

“You hit my mom!” White accused his victim, although the victim had never interacted with the suspect or his family.

The woman fell back onto the sidewalk. She tried to get up as White towered over her, punching her repeatedly in the face, cops said. He then grabbed a pipe lying nearby and began swinging it at her head.

The pipe hit the woman’s hands as she tried to protect her face, but a few swings connected, sending her down to the concrete again, prosecutors said.

As White ran off, EMS rushed the woman to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she needed stitches to close gashes left on her face.

White resurfaced two hours later about two miles away on Louis Nine Blvd. near E. 170th St. where he jumped a 15-year-old girl on her way to school, cops said.

“Watch out!” he screamed after he crept up behind her. A second later, he struck the teen on the back of the head with the pipe, which he still had in his hand. He also punched her before running off, according to court papers.

The teen was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where she needed four staples to close the wound to her head.

Bronx cops on patrol ultimately caught White, but not before he attacked a 54-year-old woman about a mile away from the second attack on Franklin Ave. near Jefferson Place in Morrisania.

He allegedly punched the woman in the face, leaving her with a minor injury.

White was hauled into court Thursday, where a judge ordered him held on $200,000 bail.

Besides the three attacks on Wednesday, investigators said White is also facing misdemeanor assault charges for two earlier attacks in the Bronx, on Oct. 7 and Sept. 12.

He was arraigned on those cases on Oct. 7 and released because the charges weren’t bail eligible, prosecutors said.

White is expected to return to court to face the charges in the coming weeks, officials said.
