‘Poltergeist’ house turning into Airbnb, replicating movie set

Sleep here at your own risk.

The infamous house from the 1982 horror classic “Poltergeist” is being transformed into an Airbnb, available to rent by supernatural-obsessed fans.

The home, built in 1979, is located in Simi Valley, California.

It sold Friday for $1.28 million, the Zillow listing confirms.

The new investor, who is from Los Gatos, Calif., allegedly wants to turn the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home into an Airbnb that will replicate the iconic movie’s set.

But Halloween buffs shouldn’t get too excited about the rental news.

According to TMZ, the home won’t be ready on Airbnb before the spooky October 31 holiday because the owner “wants to make it perfect and not rush things.”

There’s always next year, at least.

The “Poltergeist” house, located at 4267 Roxbury Street, hit the market in August for the first time in 45 years.

It features a light-filled living room with massive windows, a formal dining room and a kitchen with modernized appliances.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms including a primary suite with vaulted ceilings, an en suite bathroom and a walk-in closet.

The backyard, which occupies 16,000 square feet, features a large, in-ground pool and a jacuzzi.

“Yes, this is the home where much of the first movie of the series was filmed; but ‘This house is clean.’ Seriously, it is!” the Zillow listing playfully noted prior to the sale.

The house is also described as “ideal for cooling off on hot California days or hosting epic pool parties. Plus, it’s much safer than building a portal to another dimension!”

In addition, the listing noted that there’s space to add a pool house or an ADU for extra income.

4267 Roxbury Street was used as the primary filming location for the beloved horror movie directed by Tobe Hooper and written by Steven Spielberg.

“Poltergeist” follows the Freeling family as they encounter terrifying paranormal activity in their suburban home and centers around the youngest child Carol Anne who is abducted by malevolent spirits through a portal in her closet.
