Prankster who posted about being Taylor Swift’s ex goes viral

They “Need to Calm Down.”

A Kentucky man who posted about being Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend went viral for his playful post lamenting her engagement news — but Swifties simply couldn’t “Shake it Off.”

Andy Slye of Louisville used a real photo he took with Swift and his then-girlfriend at a 2008 concert, cropped his ex out of it, and posted it on X on Thursday.

His caption read: “That feeling when your girlfriend from high school finally gets engaged. I used to tell myself: Andrew, it’ll be ok. She wasn’t right for you. I just hope her husband isn’t some handsome buff football player.”

After generating a staggering 34 million views, Slye, 35, felt the need to set the record straight when contacted by The Post.

“The photo is 100% real, but we never dated,” he revealed. “I’m just a huge fan.

“It is not photoshopped,” said Slye, who explained how he met Swift when she opened for Alan Jackson in Nashville.

“I just want people to know that she’s a genuinely great person — from the five to 10 seconds that I’ve hugged her. We stood in line for an hour after her concert and she did that for every single one of her fans,” he gushed.

Most of the media was fooled by his initial post — with outlets like The Mirror and The Express Tribune reporting on Taylor’s alleged newfound ex.

More than 4,000 people commented. “In a lot of ways, you deserve royalties for life. You are the star of Taylor’s early breakup songs. At least you’ll always have that,” one gushed.

Some even jumped to the conclusion that he’s the “Drew” that the songstress referred to in her 2006 hit “Teardrops On My Guitar.”

Others assumed Slye deflowered her in high school — and used it to mock Travis Kelce.

“You took her V card … you’ll forever be the master to a washed-up football player,” one quipped.

Others took jabs at him for dropping the ball on marrying a pop star worth worth $1.5 billion. “This kind of fumble is insane,” one wrote.

But some swiftly came to his defense.

“Don’t worry Andy you’re good,” one said. “Haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate.”
