Now that’s bang for your buck!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have kickstarted 2025 with some welcome news — the duo’s sprawling Montecito, Calif., mansion has doubled in price.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex snapped up the stunning property for $14.65 million in the summer of 2020, and the lavish home is now worth a whopping $29 million, per Zillow.
Since quitting royal life and hightailing across the pond, the duo have been anchored in their 18,000-square-foot modern home that boasts A-list neighbors including Oprah Winfrey and until recently, Ellen DeGeneres.
The median home price in the Golden State has risen 29.7% in the last five years, a senior economic research analyst for Realtor.com told Newsweek.
The nine-bedroom, 16-bathroom luxe pad is home to the Sussexes, as well as their son Prince Archie, 5, and their daughter, Princess Lilibet, 3.
Inside, the Chateau of Riven Rock has a foyer with a staircase, an elevator, living and dining rooms, a gourmet kitchen with a butler’s pantry, a breakfast room, a family room, a library, a billiards room with a wet bar, a home theater, a gym, a wine cellar and a spa with a massage room.
The pair’s cream-colored owner’s bedroom suite has a fireplace, a television, a chandelier, exposed wood beams on the ceiling, French doors and a balcony.
Attached is an extravagant bathroom, which includes a fireplace, a chandelier, a marble bathtub and a large vanity, plus another sitting room.
Their five-acre estate also boasts rose gardens, century-old olive trees, an outdoor pizza oven, pool, playground, vegetable garden, tennis court, a two-bedroom guest house, a tea house and a children’s house, Page Six previously reported.
Despite the stunning vista the property boats, the “Suits” alum did not film her upcoming Netflix series, titled “With Love, Meghan,” at the house.
Instead, the mom of two filmed the series at an $8 million farmhouse just two miles away, owned by local philanthropists Tom and Sherrie Cipolla.
While the home is valued at $8 million today, the Cipollas paid $4.7 million for it in 2017, according to Realtor.com.
This isn’t the former royal’s first time opting for a rental.
In their 2022 Netflix docuseries, titled “Harry & Meghan,” the couple filmed interviews in a $30 million estate nearby, opting not to showcase their own pad.
They did, however, show the house’s sprawling garden, which boasts the family’s chicken coop that is adorned with a sign that reads, “Archie’s Chick Inn. Established 2021.”
