It’s w̶i̶n̶e̶ whine o’clock somewhere.
Meghan Markle might have some friendly royal competition as Prince Harry’s cousins have announced their new rosé wine range that stands to rival her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
While she is yet to release her rebranded business venture, the Duchess of Sussex has previously teased a future line of rosé wine as part of her company’s goods.
Now, Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer — nieces of the late Princess Diana — have announced that their Lala V wine range will be launching this summer.
“There’s something really special in the works that Eliza and I are launching this summer,” Lady Amelia told the Daily Mail.
“We’ve been working on a rosé brand called Lala V – it’s a play on Eliza’s childhood nickname Lala and the French word for life, vie.”
The daughters of Earl Spencer said the name carries significant meaning.
“The brand aims to represent joie de vivre – a joyful exuberance for life. We can’t wait to go on this journey together,” Lady Amelia added.
While it’s unclear exactly when the “Suits” alum is planning on launching her lifestyle brand, Markle’s passion for wine comes as no surprise to her fans.
In fact, the former actress named her now-defunct lifestyle website, The Tig, after her favourite Italian red wine, Tignanello.
The former working royal is also known to love to rosé, which she was seen sipping on in her new Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan.”
The mom of two is also said to have indulged in rosé during her first date with Prince Harry back in 2016 at the Dean Street Townhouse in London.
Once Markle releases her own wine line, she’ll join the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Cameron Diaz, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Kylie Minogue — stars who all boast successful wine labels.
First though, Markle announced that she will be rolling out jams and preserves — something she had hinted last year after sending 50 jam jars to her closest celeb pals.
The mom of two is also selling a limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb, herbal teas (hibiscus, peppermint and lemon ginger), crepe mix and shortbread cookies with flower sprinkles.
Lastly, the line includes flower sprinkles “for beautifying meals and sweet treats.”
