Professional skateboarder Kader Sylla has been busted for drunkenly driving his Porsche the wrong way down a Lower East Side street, police said Monday.
Sylla, 22, was arrested on Hester St. near Forsythe St. on the Lower East Side 2:15 a.m. Sunday, cops said.
Police say he was going against traffic behind the wheel of his greay Porsche and that he slurred his speech, smelled of booze and had bloodshot eyes. His blood alcohol content was measure at .063, according to cops, more than twice the legal limit.
Sylla, who lives near Union Square, was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired.
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office on Monday requested bail for Sylla when he was arraigned but he was ordered released with no bail.
The California-born Sylla started skateboarding when he was about 7, thanks to his grandmother, who got him at CVS a SpongeBob SquarePants board.
He turned pro in 2019.
