A fight erupted at Manhattan Criminal Court Tuesday, authorities said.
A ceramic blade typically smuggled into a secure setting as contraband was recovered, according to a law enforcement source, and several people were taken into custody by court officers.
One person was punched in the face, a second source said.
Two of those in custody were accused of punching a third person in the face, though they have not yet been charged.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. on the seventh floor of 111 Centre St.
It appears, sources said, that six people were involved in the initial confrontation.
