A Queens man accused of stabbing his wife and 2-year-old daughter to death before plunging a knife into his own chest has been charged with murder, police said Monday.
Ernesto Cruz, 54, is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon after his wife, Ana Pilatagsi-Moposita, 41 and daughter, Analiz Cruz, were killed in their Ridgewood home.
Cops say both victims were repeatedly stabbed in the chest and neck Saturday evening.
Cruz also stabbed himself but survived. He was initially listed in critical condition.
Medics took the parents to Elmhurst Hospital, where Pilatagsi-Moposita died. The baby girl went to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center but could not be saved.

It was unclear what sparked the brutal stabbing.
Cruz was on a FaceTime call with his nephew during the bloody attack on his family, according to ABC 7 New York. The panicked nephew called 911, the station reported.
Responding officers had trouble getting through the front door and had to use a fire escape behind the building to access the bloody home, shocked neighbors told the Daily News.
Neighbors said the mother worked as a home health aide and was often seen wearing scrubs.
