Reality TV’s Tony McCollister allegedly sexually abused dogs

An Ohio court reportedly ordered former reality TV personality Tony McCollister to stay away from two dogs he’s accused of sexually mistreating.

The former “Neighbors with Benefits” star was arrested last week for pandering obscenity involving a minor and sexual misconduct involving an animal, according to TMZ.

He has reportedly been ordered to come no closer than 500 feet from animals and children. The dogs he’s accused of abusing were taken from him by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

McCollister’s bond was set at $250,000. A judge reportedly ordered him to refrain from “forcing sexual relations” with pets or children.

Ohio news outlet WLWT said the 43-year-old McCollister, who appeared on the short-lived A&E network show in 2015, has a Tuesday morning court date. Authorities said the crimes of which he’s accused happened Nov. 23.

A&E advertised “Neighbors with Benefits” as a show that followed neighbors who were “often more than just friends” in a seemingly ordinary suburban Ohio neighborhood.

McCollister explained to his neighbors in the show’s premiere episode that the alternative lifestyle he and his wife had chosen is complicated.

“I think when it comes to our children it’s gonna be hard to always explain to them because I don’t necessarily want this for them,” he confessed.

“Neighbors with Benefits” was canceled after its second episode.
