Richard Gere is getting the hell out of Dodge.
The “American Gigolo” actor, 75, revealed he’s moving to Spain with his wife, Alejandra Silva, 41, and their children.
Appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday, Gere said his family will be spending Thanksgiving in Madrid while discussing the move.
“My wife is Spanish. Is this a problem for anybody out there?” he joked.
“But my wife is Spanish and she gave me about seven years here, so we’re going to spend some years in Madrid with her family,” Gere shared, adding that he will return to the United States.
The “Pretty Woman” star explained, “Our kids are bilingual so they’re going to flourish there.”
Gere went on to talk about their upcoming holiday plans in Spain.
“My wife grew up in a big Spanish family, like a big Italian family, and her grandmother was kind of the glue that held that all together,” he shared. “And the grandmother passed away [about] two years ago, so my wife, I can see her morphing into the new grandmother of this extended family. So she’s already planning for 35 people for Sunday lunches.”
Gere met his wife in 2014 at a hotel in Positano, Italy.
The pair married in May 2018 and share two young sons: Alexander, 5, and James, 4.
Gere and Silva each have one child from previous marriages, making them a blended family.
Silva has an 11-year-old son, Albert, with her ex-husband Govind Friedland. Gere welcomed son Homer, 24, with his second wife, Carey Lowell, in 2000.
The “Runaway Bride” actor sold his home in Connecticut for $10.7 million in Oct. after purchasing the six-bedroom property from Grammy-winning singer Paul Simon in 2022 for $10.8 million.
Gere first shared their plan to move in April during an interview with Vanity Fair Spain.
“For Alejandra, it will be wonderful to be closer to her family, her lifelong friends and her culture,” he told the outlet. “She was very generous in giving me six years living in my world, so it is only fair that I give her at least another six living in hers.”
Gere’s move comes on the hells of several other celebrities uprooting their lives following President-elect Donald Trump’s victory.
Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, have reportedly put their Montecito, Calif., mansion on the market and moved to the UK, sources told The Wrap this week.
Icons like Sharon Stone, Cher and Barbra Streisand also threatened to leave The States if Trump was elected.
