Ringo Starr reveals the food he’s shockingly never had in his life

A weir-dough revelation.

Ringo Starr says he’s never had one of the most popular foods in the world — a cuisine he once even promoted.

The 84-year-old Beatles drummer shared his shocking confession during his Tuesday appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Kimmel, 57, asked Starr to clear up some rumors about him that exist out in the ether — the first of which is that the rock star has never eaten pizza.

“I’ve never had a pizza,” Starr confirmed to stunned silence. “Never had a pizza.”

“You hear all those people in the back going, ‘What?’” he added, prompting laughter from the audience.

But it was another food confession that left them even more shocked.

“Or a curry,” Starr said as people gasped, “Nooooo!”

“I’m allergic to several items,” explained the drummer, who has shared before that he is a vegetarian. “With pizza, you don’t know what you’re putting in it half the time, or the curry. So I’m pretty strict with myself ’cause it makes me ill immediately.”

A gobsmacked Kimmel responded, “I used to think you had the greatest life, and now I realize mine is better.”

“Yours is better because you’ve had a pizza,” Starr conceded.

Curiously, the Beatles star has previously been a pizza spokesperson.

In 1995, Ringo appeared in a Pizza Hut commercial to promote the hut’s just-rolled-out menu addition, cheese-stuffed crust, per Billboard.

Standing in a field next to a cow, Starr started the spot saying, “I’d do it in a second,” seemingly hinting at a Beatles reunion.

“The fans will dig it. They’ve waited long enough. I’ve just got to get the other lads to agree,” he continued.

The promo then pulled a bait-and-switch.

“I’ll say, ‘Lads! The time has come! To eat our pizza crust first,’” Starr added from behind a drum set as he pulled out a slice of pie from a Pizza Hut box.

Doubling down on the comedy, the “lads” who subsequently joined him for a bite are not Paul McCartney and George Harrison, but rather the members of another ’60s mop-topped boy band, The Monkees.

“Wrong lads,” Starr quipped as The Monkees’ self-titled song played.

Though the other singers all take a bite of a pizza, Ringo does not.

Starr previously spoke about his dietary habits in a 2022 Rolling Stone interview.

“I am a vegetarian, I have broccoli with everything and blueberries every morning,” he said at the time. “I just do stuff that I feel is good for me.”
