Rob Lowe almost ‘got killed’ at Patrick Schwarzenegger’s wedding after scary incident

A wedding — and a funeral?

Rob Lowe nearly ended up in the hospital — or worse — when he attended Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion’s recent nuptials.

The “West Wing” star opened up about the couple’s wedding ceremony and how he “almost wiped out” and “almost literally got killed on a golf cart” during the reception while on Tuesday night’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“I’ll do crazy stuff, I’ll big wave surf, I’ll heli-ski, but little things scare me,” Lowe, 61, shared. “Like, I’m petrified of golf carts. I’m really, really petrified of rolling a golf cart.”

“I did a full double 360,” he added, regarding the near-fatal incident.

The “Floor” host detailed the traumatic experience further after Jimmy Kimmel, 57, asked how fast Lowe was going before the “tipsy-topsy” golf cart almost rolled over on him.

“It was down a really steep hill and the grass was wet,” the Brat Packer explained. “But I’ve had movies where they give you stunt driving, so I just kept the wheel like I was trained to. My friend said, ‘You looked like a statue as you were spinning.’”

As for why he didn’t “stomp on the brake,” Lowe warned that “you do not want to do that” because “then you’re done.”

“I’m just careful when I drive,” he added, “but obviously not careful enough.”

The “St. Elmo’s Fire” star, however, clarified that he has no problem with getting behind the wheel of regular cars.

“The fastest that I ever drove was my son Matthew’s field trip,” Lowe recalled. “I was the volunteer driver, and it was a whale-watching excursion from the harbor.”

But after he “overslept” and needed to quickly catch up with the boat before it left, the “Wayne’s World” star had no choice but to speed down to the harbor.

“I get to the harbor, the boat is pulling away, and I said, ‘You know what? I’m gonna go like 100 miles an hour down the coast, pull over and swim out to the boat,’” he shared.

“I get far enough that I think I can make it out to the boat,” Lowe continued. “I swim out, and then Matthew turned to the cabin and said. ‘I think my dad’s over there!’”

Besides the “White Lotus” actor’s famous parents, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, the star-studded event was attended by Lowe and Jason Isaacs. Katherine Schwarzenegger and her husband, Chris Pratt, were in attendance as well.

The “Gen V” star’s half-brother, Joseph Baena, reportedly “wasn’t invited” to Patrick’s big day.

But despite nearly getting killed on a golf cart, Lowe shared that he still had a wonderful time at the couple’s nuptials.

“It was a beautiful wedding,” the actor, whose oldest son, Matthew, 32, recently got engaged, said. “I’m at that stage where all my kids’ friends are getting married, so it’s kind of wedding season in that way.”

The “Parks and Recreation” alum then revealed what Arnold Schwarzenegger said during his son and new daughter-in-law’s ceremony.

“‘It’s good to see everybody here,’” Lowe teased while doing his best interpretation of the “Terminator” star. “‘It’s a wonderful day. And Patrick is killing it now with ‘The White Lotus.’”
