Ryan Seacrest’s ‘super generous’ gift from Vanna White is puzzling

Ryan Seacrest had some good fortune with this gift.

The “Wheel of Fortune” host, 50, who took over for Pat Sajak in 2024, revealed that his cohost Vanna White, 67, was looking out for his oral care this holiday season.

“She’s so super generous and sweet and kind,” Seacrest told People. “She even brought me — because I was saying, I drink very strong black coffee and my teeth, sometimes you can see it — she brought me white strips. She brought me white strips. She went to the store the next day. She brought me white strips.”

Although Seacrest didn’t share the exact brand of whitening strips the game show hostess gifted him, there are quite a few (very affordable) brands on the market to choose from. Crest 3D Whitestrips are currently on sale for $33 on Amazon, while a clean brand, Lumineux Teeth Whitening, is going for $30 on the shopping site.

And keeping his pearly whites in tip-top shape for the cameras is the exact type of friend the “American Idol” host thought White would be.

“She is an institution, an icon,” Seacrest gushed. “She’s amazing. She’s everything you think Vanna White will be when you meet her!”

But the on-air duo crossed paths long before their time on “Wheel of Fortune” together.

“We’ve known each other for a long time, so we’ve had a friendly relationship for two decades, which America may not know,” he told E! News in a September interview with White.

White also spoke candidly about working with Seacrest as a co-host on the long-running game show.

“And when they said Ryan’s going to be the next one and I said, ‘Great.’ Because he’s so talented, he’s so professional, he’s so good at what he does. I’m so thankful,” White recalled.

And despite Sajak’s exit, Seacrest was delighted to find out she signed an extension in September 2023 to remain on the series.

“This is such great news,” he told Today’s Willie Geist after learning the news. “Vanna has been such a staple on that show and in our living rooms for so many years. I’ve been very excited to work with her but now that it’s official I can say, ‘Congratulations, Vanna.’ I can’t wait.”

Seacrest officially took over for Sajak last September and kicked off the show’s 42nd season.

“Welcome to ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ I am your host, Ryan Seacrest. I still can’t believe my luck being here with you tonight to continue this legacy of this incredible show with all of you, and of course, my good friend Vanna White,” he revealed at the top of his first episode. “Thank you for the very warm welcome. Hosting ‘Wheel of Fortune’ is a dream job.”

“I’ve been a fan of this show since I was a kid, watching it in Atlanta with my family, and I know how special it is that ‘Wheel’ has been in your living rooms for the past 40 years,” added Seacrest. “And I’m just so grateful to be invited in. I also know I’ve got some very big shoes to fill. So let’s play ‘Wheel of Fortune.’”

When it comes to his hopes for the show in 2025, the television star told Fox News Digital he’s “always impressed and grateful for what the show has meant” to him through the years.

“I love giving away the money. I get so excited when people win the money, and they win a lot of money,” he told the outlet. “I’m hoping to give away a million dollars in 2025.”
