Reps or Sean “Diddy” Combs is shooting down a report that he was caught drinking alcohol during his first week at a new prison.
TMZ reported Friday that the disgraced hip hop mogul — who last month started serving four years for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution — was allegedly caught drinking a homemade alcohol concoction made from fermented Fanta, sugar and apples — at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
“There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs,” the spokesperson said in a statement issued on Sunday. “He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.”
The Bad Boy Entertainment founder claimed to have been “reborn” during his year-long stint at Brooklyn’s infamous Metropolitan Detention Center, where he’d been held since his arrest in September 2024. The imprisonment, he said, resulted in his first bout of sobriety in over two decades.
“The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn. … I choose to live,” Combs said in a letter to Manhattan federal court Judge Arun during his October sentencing.

Combs, 56, was recently transferred to FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in New Hanover Township, N.J., known for its drug rehabilitation and educational programs.
“This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumors will surface throughout his time there,” the Grammy winner‘s spokesperson continued. “We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace.”
