A security guard working at an LGBTQ lounge was shot and wounded along with a second man outside the Harlem night spot, police said.
The 51-year-old security guard and a 39-year-old man were outside the Lambda Lounge on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. at W. 133rd St. when shots rang out just before 3 a.m.
Bar patrons had just finished up a Tuesday night game night at the bar, according to its Instagram page. Early Wednesday, the lounge posted it would be closed for the day “in light of recent events.”
It wasn’t immediately clear if the younger man, who refused to talk to police when questioned, was a bar patron.
Medics rushed both men to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.
The gunman, who was wearing a mask, white tank top and blue jeans, ran off and has not been caught. He is believed to be in his 20s or 30s
Cops on Tuesday were scouring the area for surveillance footage that could help them identify the shooter.
It was the second time in three days a shooting has erupted outside a Manhattan LGBTQ bar. On Sunday night, after the city’s massive Pride March wrapped up, a 16-year-old girl was shot in the head outside the iconic Stonewall Inn.
The teenage girl also had a gun and had just opened fire on a man moments before she was struck accidentally by a friend. Her bullet missed its target and hit a 17-year-old innocent bystander in the leg more than 100 feet away, police said.
The gunman who accidentally shot the 16-year-old girl has not been caught.
