‘SNL’ hasn’t formally apologized to Aimee Lou Wood for ‘White Lotus’ parody

“Saturday Night Live” still has not formally apologized to Aimee Lou Wood for mocking her teeth in the show’s parody of “The White Lotus,” according to a new report from TMZ.

Wood, 31, blasted the sketch and called it “mean and unfunny” on Instagram Sunday, before claiming that she’s “had apologies from ‘SNL.’”

But sources with direct knowledge said they were told Wood “may have spoken to someone she knows on the show” who might have apologized, but the NBC program itself never gave Wood a formal or official apology.

The insiders alleged that “SNL” doesn’t “feel compelled to apologize” to Wood since the sketch comedy series “makes fun of everyone’s appearance.”

Regardless, TMZ’s sources noted that everyone on the show’s set loves Wood and the parody of her came “from a good place.”

The Post has reached out to “SNL” for comment.

In “The White Potus” sketch, which parodied the HBO series and President Donald Trump, Sarah Sherman wore prosthetic teeth to portray Wood’s character, Chelsea.

The British actress responded to the skit on her Instagram Stories, calling the diss “such a shame” while arguing that the parody could’ve been done in “a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way.”

In a follow-up post, Wood wrote, “I’ve had apologies from SNL.”

Wood also said about the sketch, “I actually love being taken the piss out of when it’s clever and in good spirits. I don’t mind caricature — I understand that’s what ‘SNL’ is. But the rest of the skit was punching up and I/Chelsea was the only one punched down on.”

She later defended Sherman, 32, from the backlash and also posted a picture of a floral bouquet that the comedian sent her. “Thank you for the beautiful flowers,” Wood captioned her post while tagging Sherman.

Wood received the flowers after photos emerged showing the star sobbing in South London on Monday. She was comforted by “House of the Dragon” actor Ralph Davis.

The “Sex Education” actress addressed the pictures on Instagram and explained her tears weren’t about the “SNL” drama while replying to a fan who slammed the show for seemingly causing her to break down.

“Just to say, I actually wasn’t crying about anything that the papers made out I was crying about 😂Something completely unrelated,” Wood wrote.

While Wood disapproved of “The White Potus,” her co-star Walton Goggins praised it.

Goggins, who played Chelsea’s love interest, Rick, called the skit “SMASHING” in a since-deleted post amid rumors that the pair had a falling out.
