Sofia Carson details working with Connie Britton on ‘The Life List’

On Sofia Carson’s list, this is one film she won’t ever forget making.

The “Descendants” actress, 31, starred alongside Connie Britton in the upcoming Netflix rom-com “The Life Lists” and got candid on what the experience was like.

“I still can’t believe she plays my mom,” Carson gushed exclusively to The Post at the SAG Awards Media Preview on Thursday. “I love Connie Britton. She’s just such a tremendous actor and an extraordinary woman and it was a privilege to play her daughter and act alongside her. This movie is a really special one.”

The singer added, “It’s really a special one for me and for everyone involved. I think it feels like a little piece of light amidst the darkness in the world and I feel so lucky to be able to give that.”

“The Life List,” adapted from the novel of the same name by Lori Nelson Spielman, follows Carson’s character, Alex Rose, in the wake of her mother Elizabeth’s death.

After Alex meets with a lawyer to settle Elizabeth’s affairs, she is given a pre-recorded video from her late mother explaining that Alex needs to complete a childhood bucket list in order to receive her inheritance.

The movie also stars Kyle Allen, Jordi Mollà, Sebastian de Souza, and Chelsea Frei.

While reflecting on her work with Netflix, Carson also teased the potential of a sequel for another one of her beloved projects on the streaming service: “Purple Hearts.”

In the 2022 romantic musical movie, Carson played Cassie, a struggling singer-songwriter who agrees to marry a troubled Marine, Luke, for the military benefits.

Not only did Carson star in the film but she also co-wrote and sang the movie’s original soundtrack.

When asked if fans will ever get to see Cassie and Luke’s story continue, Carson teased, “Maybe.”

“That’s all I’m going to say. Maybe. I adore Cassie. I swear to protect her for the rest of my life and it just makes me so happy that everyone loves it so much that they would like to see where the story goes and I promise you it’s in my heart always. That’s what I’ll say,” she told The Post.

After the trailer for “The Life List” dropped on Thursday, the star spoke to Entertainment Weekly about what drew her to the role.

“I think one of the reasons that Adam and I connected so deeply was because of my relationship with my mom,” she told the outlet. “He felt it really mirrored Alex and Elizabeth’s relationship. In fact, it was Carson’s mother who first sent her the script, which the star calls “one of the most human scripts I’ve had the privilege of reading.”

The “Carry On” alum concluded: “I connected to Alex pretty instantly. Alex is all of us at some point in our lives, and the journey that she takes is so beautiful and meaningful; so simple, yet so powerful.”

Carson shared the movie poster to her Instagram on Thursday, captioning the shot: “The Life List 🌹 Coming to a @netflix near you, March 28th. Be still my ever beating heart.”

“The Life List” hits Netflix on March 28.
