Squirrel spotted on stage before Kamala Harris concession speech: ‘Ghost of P’Nut’

The ghost of P’nut past?

A squirrel was spotted running across the stage just moments before Vice President Kamala Harris gave her concession speech Wednesday — sending social media into a spin as users quipped it was the euthanized furry internet sensation coming back to haunt her.

The bushy-tailed guest could be seen darting through a line of American flags behind the podium on the Howard University campus in Washington DC as throngs of supporters waited for the Democratic candidate to emerge.

The squirrel was spotted running across the stage just moments before Vice President Kamala gave her concession speech Wednesday in Washington DC.

Footage of the moment quickly went nuts online with many suggesting that P’nut — whose death at the hands of New York state officials last week became a major election talking point — had been resurrected.

“The ghost off peanut the squirrel showed up to haunt Kamala at her ‘I failed’ speech,” one user posted on X.

Others also chimed in, joking “The Spirit of PNut lives on!” and “the ghost of Peanut making a victory lap.”

“The ghost of Peanut was seen already haunting Kamala,” another user posted.

The 7-year-old gray rescue squirrel’s death sparked widespread backlash — even from President-elect Donald Trump and his soon-to-be vice president JD Vance — in the days leading up to the election.

News of P’nut’s death started making waves after the tiny creature and his pal, a raccoon named Fred, were seized and later put down by state Department of Environmental Conservation officials following anonymous complaints over rabies fears.

His owner, Mark Longo, has since vowed to sue state officials.

“This is much bigger than a squirrel and a raccoon. This is about government overreach,” he told The Post. “We want justice for what transpired at my home. You violated my home. You assassinated my animals.”
