I’m always wearing a Buffalo Bills hat. Sitting at a beach bar on Amelia Island in Florida with my wife and eldest daughter, I got a “Go Bills!” shout out from a very friendly brother and sister. When asked, I told them I became a Bills fan because I loved the old standing red buffalo logo and
GIDDY UP!
QB Drake Maye vs. Jets — Maye has been the second-best QB in fantasy, with multiple TD passes every week but two. The Jets enjoyed getting on the gravy train against the Browns, but let’s not forget the lowly Dillon Gabriel put up two TDs on their Sauce-less secondary.
QB Aaron Rodgers vs. Bengals — It’s not often that I recommend Rodgers but roll him out against the Tiger Cubs this weekend in Pittsburgh. In Week 7 he put up 249 yards and four TDs in Cincy.
RB Woody Marks at Titans — The last time I endorsed Marks he disappointed with 15 fantasy points. But the Titans’ 28th ranked run D is too sweet to pass up. Pencil in 80 yards and a TD, plus four receptions for 50 yards.
RB Ashton Jeanty vs. Cowboys — The first-round rookie RB looked as advertised against a rugged Bronco D last week (60 yards, 1 TD). If Jeanty runs that way Monday night, the Cowboys will limp back to Dallas with their third loss in a row.
WR A.J. Brown vs. Lions — What can Brown do for you? He can start delivering, darn it. To beat Detroit you must outscore them, and Philly’s passing packages will be plentiful this Sunday night.
WR Tee Higgins at Steelers — Tee Hee has been on a TD tear with four in his last three games and he has three TDs in his last four games against the Steelers. Higgins is the safest bet of any WR this weekend to reach the end zone.
TE Zach Ertz at Dolphins — Buffalo’s TE Dalton Kincaid was on his way to a huge game in Miami before a pulled hammy ended his day last week. Ertz will get his usual four receptions for 50 yards, but I say he scores too.
WHOA DOWN!
QB Baker Mayfield at Bills — Bleak and blustery describes the mood of the Buffalo Bills after their loss in Miami. It’s also the weather report for the visitors from Tampa Bay. Throw in a light rain and depleted WR corps. It won’t be smooth sailing for Baker.
QB Patrick Mahomes at Broncos — You’re not sitting Mahomes. But you need to be aware he has but two TD passes in his last three games against Denver.
RB TreVeyon Henderson vs. Jets — The 147 yards by “Baby Saquon” last week was impressive, but 124 of those yards came on two carries when the Bucs were totally out of position. The other 33 came on 12 totes. Expect the Jets D to show some moxie and clamp down on the speedy rookie.
RB Kenneth Walker III at Rams — The Seattle coaches hate your fantasy team. They prove it every week with their ridiculous game of RB roulette. You deserve to lose if you start KW3.
WR Parker Washington vs. Chargers — Two solid outings in a row should be enough to start P Dub, but the Chargers are stellar against WRs, allowing just five TD receptions on the season.
WR Xavier Worthy at Broncos — Worthy is playing second fiddle to Rashee Rice. Additionally, the Broncos’ defense has given up just two TD receptions. Find a better option than Xavier. He’s not worthy this week.
TE Colston Loveland at Vikings — If you want four catches for 45 yards, Colston is your man.
Thursday Night Special: The Patriots have won 13 of their last 14 home games against Gang Green. The 11.5 spread is hefty, but the Jets haven’t lost by more than seven points since Week 5. Take the Jets and the points. Patriots 24, Jets 17
