New England Patriots star Stefon Diggs opened up about whether he might pop the question to his girlfriend Cardi B after he plays in the Super Bowl.
When asked about a potential engagement at Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday, Diggs told reporters it’s something he’s considering.
“It’s on the agenda,” he teased.
The NFL star then joked that he has to snag his own Super Bowl ring before he can hand over an engagement ring to the “Bodak Yellow” rapper.
“Maybe, right? I gotta get mine first,” the wide receiver quipped.
In the meantime, Diggs is soaking up the love and support from his Grammy-winning girlfriend, who gave birth to their first child together in November.
“As a significant other I really appreciate it,” Diggs shared. “It’s a level of appreciation because she’s an amazing woman. Being there for me is hard, you can imagine. I’m a lot to deal with but I never want to not let her know that I appreciate her for being there. Not just for the games but she supported me when she wasn’t there.”
“She was watching the games,” he added. “She was texting me before the games and after the games and checking on me making sure that I was alright.”
In an interview with the NFL network, the “Outside” artist says she is “feeling very excited, very happy for him, very proud of him.”
“You know, he just came back from an ACL [injury] and me seeing the progress and the process of him, from the first time he started running back, and now joining the Patriots and actually going to the Super Bowl, I’m very excited for him. Very excited for the whole team, they been working they butts out.”
After ending her seven-year marriage to Offset in August of 2024, she and Diggs went public with their relationship in May.
“I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful,” Cardi gushed in an interview with CBS This Morning. “Me and my man — we’re very supportive of each other…”
