A 24-year-old man was threatened with a knife and beaten by a man who uttered homophobic slurs on a Brooklyn subway car, cops said Thursday.
Police released images of the suspected assailant and are asking for the public’s help in tracking him down. He has a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a black sweater, black pants, and a black knit hat, according to law enforcement.
The victim was on board a northbound L train at the Lorimer St. subway station in Williamsburg when the suspect approached him and made the vile remark around 5 a.m. Sunday, cops said.
The man then followed the victim off the train and drew a knife, before repeatedly punching the victim in the head and body, police said.
The victim received minor injuries in the attack and refused medical attention at the scene, cops said.
The suspect was last seen fleeing onto a northbound L train, police said.
