A suspect was arrsted Wednesday for stabbing and critically wounding a Bronx livery cab driver during a road rage clash in the Bronx last month, police said.
Dominick Darin turned himself in at the 43rd Precinct stationhouse to face charges in the attack on 39-year-old driver Osei Kusi.
Cops charged Darin, 56, with assault. His arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court was pending.
Kusi was found by a passerby unconscious and soaked in blood inside his Toyota SUV, which still had its motor running, in the middle of the street in Clason Point about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 26, cops said.
The victim had charged his car at a charging station and was driving home when he got into a road rage clash a few miles from where he was eventually discovered unconscious, according to Fernando Mateo, a spokesman for the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers.
Kusi was stabbed outside his Toyota as he and the rival motorist had words, then retreated to his vehicle, only to black out after driving away, police believe.
“It was a real argument. It was a real shouting match, and the fact that Osei was stabbed numerous times, we believe at least seven times, is something that is unacceptable,” Mateo said during a press conference the day of the attack. “He got out of his vehicle, the other person got out of theirs, and there was an altercation in which Osei was stabbed multiple times and left there to die.”
Mateo said Kusi was able to call a friend for help before losing consciousness.
Medics rushed Kusi from where he was discovered, near Randall Ave. and White Plains Road, to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition. His condition improved to stable after undergoing emergency surgery to treat stab wounds to his back and stomach, officials said.

Kusi’s uncle Samuel Cudjoe, 59, who is also a taxi driver, described his nephew as a peaceful hardworking man.
“He’s a very quiet guy,” he said. “Not a troublemaker at all.”
