Taser gun used during Lil Nas X’s early A.M. arrest: report

A taser was used during Lil Nas X’s felony arrest in Los Angeles last week, according to police scanner audio from when the “completely nude” Grammy winner was taken into custody.

The roughly minute-and-a-half audio, obtained by TMZ, described the 26-year-old walking on Ventura Blvd. toward Universal Studios while “completely nude” in “the middle of the road” and eventually “running to the officers.”

“They’re requesting a use of force,” a dispatcher says.

An officer requests a supervisor and mentions a “use of force” before confirming that the individual is in custody. A noise can be heard in the background, which the outlet described as resembling that of a taser gun.

It then sounds as if the suspect asks whether officers know his name, before saying, “Nas.”

The “Old Town Road” singer, real name Montero Lamar Hill, was filmed on his erratic stroll through L.A. around 4 a.m. Thursday — at which point he was still wearing underwear and cowboy boots, telling the onlooker about a “party” before encouraging him to “gimme that phone, so I can throw it.

“I wanna throw it far away, so you never see it again. I don’t like phones,” he said at the time. “Don’t miss the party tonight, why are you still here?”

Later that morning, Nas reportedly charged at responding police and was hospitalized for a potential overdose. News later broke that he’d also been arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a police officer and would be held without bail over the weekend.

On Monday, Nas pleaded not guilty to four felonies, including three counts of battery with injury on a peace officer and resisting an executive officer. Bail was lowered from $300,000 to $75,000.
