A Bronx teen was shot inside a smoke shop Saturday afternoon, police said.
Cops responded to a 911 call of an assault around 12:57 p.m. inside a Za convenience store / smoke shop near Lafayette and Rosedale Aves. in Soundview, where they found the 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was alert and conscious.
EMS transported the youth to Jacobi Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.
It remained unclear what sparked the broad-daylight shooting.
The gunmen, who fled the scene on scooter and were dressed all in black, were still on the loose as cops look to track them down, according to ABC7.
