A teenager turned himself in to authorities this week for the June road rage shooting in Atlanta that killed Remoin Thomas Patton, the uncle of OutKast’s Big Boi.
Jabyrion Crumbley, 18, surrendered Wednesday and has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. He’s being held without bail, per TMZ.
AJC previously reported that 62-year-old Patton was shot in the back on June 16, after he and another driver “exchanged words” when he was making a turn. When Patton was shot, he “wreck[ed] his vehicle into a vacant home” and was pronounced dead at the scene.

During a June 20 traffic stop, 32-year-old Janisha Crumbley was also arrested in connection with the incident and charged with hindering the apprehension of a felon. Her relation to the teen is unclear.
Antwan “Big Boi” Patton, who co-founded Grammy-winning hip-hop duo OutKast with André 3000 mourned the loss of his uncle this week.
“Everybody who knows Uncle Moonie heart aches,” he said in a statement to WSB-TV Channel 2. “He wasn’t just ‘My’ Uncle, he was Unk to all that met him. A moment of rage has … totally pierced the heart of my family forever. May Uncle Moonie’s soul rest in peace.”
Big Boi also paid tribute to his uncle with a video and photo montage he shared on Instagram, set to Smokie Norful’s “I Need You Now.”
“Long Live Uncle Moonie,” Big Boi wrote. “Miss ya UNC. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
