Teresa Giudice, husband owe more than $3M in tax liens

Teresa Giudice and husband Luis Ruelas owe more than $3 million in tax liens, a decade after the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star’s infamous jail stint for federal fraud charges, which her ex-husband also served.

The 52-year-old reality personality is $303,889.20 in tax debt while Ruelas, 49, owes nearly $2.6 million, according to records obtained by People.

Ruelas’ debt is in addition to the more than $163,500 lien he was issued in December.

Teresa and Joe Giudice, also 52, previously pleaded guilty in March 2014 to bank, mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud.

She served 11 months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Conn. from January 2015 to December of that year, followed by weeks of house arrest. Joe served his 41-month sentence from March 2016 to March 2019, after which he served time behind bars in an ICE jail and was ultimately deported to Italy. He now lives in the Bahamas.

The Giudices, who share four daughters, split in late 2019 after two decades of marriage. A year later, Teresa Giudice made her relationship with “soulmate” Ruelas Instagram official and he debuted on the Bravo reality hit the following spring.

The couple got engaged in October 2021 and tied the knot the following summer in an East Brunswick celebration that aired on “Real Housewives.”

In the run-up to the nuptials, Giudice told “Housewives” honcho Andy Cohen that she would sign a prenuptial agreement if Ruelas asked.

“He definitely has more than me,” she told the “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show” at the time. “I would never take anything from him, I’m so not like that.”

In June 2023, Giudice insisted the couple’s marriage was still on solid ground.

“I love and adore him so much,” she told the “Namaste B$tches” podcast at the time.”Nothing shaky. I mean, maybe we shake together when we dance, but that’s about it.”
