The best new NYC shops for 2025 holiday dresses and party looks

It’s sequin season again! And with New Year’s Eve just around the corner, that means shopping for the perfect party pieces, from a razzle-dazzle dress to a feathered frock to a lace bodysuit. Revel in the glamour at these five new NYC stores full of festive attire.

Pink paradise is one way to describe the new LoveShackFancy flagship in Soho.

Fashion girlies heart LoveShack. The cult label favored by Kate Hudson, Sofía Vergara and Paris Hilton opened the prettiest pink and posy-patterned flagship in Soho this fall. Slip into the holiday finery, from ruffled slithers and romantic velvet gowns to lacy bustiers, all featuring founder and creative director Rebecca Hessel Cohen’s signature ultrafeminine flair. Then, head to the in-store beauty bar for a bow-topped eau de parfum or two. Fancy that!

Stacey Bendet wears her after-five edit before noon. But that’s because the founder and creative director of Alice + Olivia has an unusually strong sense of the dramatic. The designer reimagined her Upper East Side flagship this fall, adding a ruby-red mosaic facade, an array of unique furnishings and jewel-box changing rooms. All the better to showcase her metallic jacquard minidresses, sequin cargo pants and duchess-satin floral ballgowns. There’s much to celebrate in this whimsical space.

Find her lace bodysuit, cropped jacket, flared trousers, bodycon gown and other elegant evening attire in the brand-new Upper West Side outpost, the chain’s fourth in New York. Then, hit the latest hot spots in Kaia-approved kit.

Apart from champagne, Annie’s Ibiza has every sparkly thing you need to ring in the New Year. After opening stores in Ibiza’s Dalt Vila and London’s Carnaby Street neighborhoods, founder Annie Doble unveiled a velvet-draped emporium in Soho in October. The English tastemaker has filled it with her own intricate, artisanal pieces made only in small runs, along with vintage marvels, collabs with other designers and the Mercer dress, a stained glass-inspired mini created exclusively for New York. Cue the bubbly.

A frothy Retrofête frock is just the thing for an evening out.

Like a disco ball light display, Retrofête’s glittering dresses mesmerize on the dance floor. When Beyoncé rocked a Sirena mirrored minidress at a post-Oscars party, her Instagram pic caused a run on the silver looks. In October, the label founded by Ohad Seroya and Aviad Klin debuted its renovated Soho shop stocking all your night-out necessities, like the shimmering Gabrielle frock worn by Taylor Swift. Welcome to the party.
