Jaws feted

After Hurricane Erin prevented swimming for several days — just when you thought it was safe to go back in the
water — JAWS’ 50th anniversary celebration took place at Shark Bar Montauk on August 24. The late Roy Scheider’s
daughter, Molly Scheider, introduced the all-day screening, which benefited the Hayground School in honor
of her father’s legacy on the East End.

“With the movie being as popular as it is, I’m always going to have a part of my dad with me no matter how long he’s gone. He truly lives through the fans. I’m grateful to Shark Bar for welcoming the community,” she told the NYDN.
