Three people were injured— including two young girls — after a partial building collapse in Queens Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Police rushed to the scene of a collapse of front signage at Manny’s Home Furniture around 4:30 p.m., near 245 St. and Jericho Turnpike. in Bellerose.
The collapse struck a 25-year-old man who suffered pain to his back, cops said. The children were inside a parked Jeep hit in the collapse, with an 11-year-old girl sitting in the rear passenger seat suffering pain to her back, and a 13-year-old girl sitting in the front passenger seat suffering pain to the right leg, police said.
EMS transported the injured man to North Shore University Hospital, where he was in stable condition. The youngsters were taken to Cohen Children Medical Center, where both girls were in stable condition.
