TikTok star Preston Ordone, 2, aka OK Baby, dies in car accident

Two-year-old TikTok star Preston Ordone, who was known as “Okay Baby” on the platform, has died after a car accident.

Ordone was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Louisiana on April 24 and “later succumbed to his injuries,” state police said.

The crash happened around 11:50 a.m. last Thursday in St. Tammany Parish, police said in a news release. The F-150 truck  “veered off the roadway to the right and struck a tree.” The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The release goes onto claim the driver and front passenger, identified later by family as parents Katelynn and Jaelen Ordone, were seriously injured but “were both properly restrained.”

“Preston, who was seated in the rear, but improperly restrained in a child safety seat,” died from his serious injuries at a hospital.

The parents remain in the hospital. Katelynn suffered multiple broken bones and a severe concussion, while Jaelan needed emergency leg surgery.

However, the boy’s family is disputing the police’s report that he was not properly buckled in when the accident occurred.

Glen Norris, Preston’s grandfather, told NOLA.com that a witness said Preston was properly secured.

He called the police’s statement as “hurtful and painful.”

Trooper Marc Gremillion said the report was accurate based on the information they had received, but added the investigation is still ongoing.
